Exciting news for all the night owls out there: Philadelphia is continuing to live up to its late-night capital of the United States reputation, appointed by Esquire a few months back.
Stephen Starr’s Pod in University City is now joining the late-night ranks, offering a new late-night happy hour from 9 p.m.-close, Sunday through Thursday.
The menu will include the same items available during their regular happy hour from 4-6 p.m., but is perfect for those who are tied up, or just hungry, until the later hours.
That means $6 signature cocktails, $4 Yuengling Lagers and Yards Brawlers, $6 wine and $5 maki and dim sum.
While checking out the new happy hour, be sure to try some of the latest dinner menu additions as well. Acclaimed sushi chef Chef Makoto teamed up with Pod’s sushi chef Takasu to create innovative sushi rolls like the Vegan Stephen roll made with tempura zucchini, avocado, kanpyo squash, eggplant and roasted pepper, which was made for those who don’t eat fish.
Carnivorous guests can enjoy dinner menu additions like the 72-hour short rib and #1 duck, both prepared with an Asian flair.
Pod is one of those Philadelphia restaurant scene standards that shouldn’t be ignored just because it’s not snazzy and new — especially because now it is!
