South Philly favorite Le Virtu will pay homage to the Italian tradition of shared food and drink in the winter months with an outdoor festival on Sunday, January 20, called La Cottora.
Not only will the fest include food from Le Virtu’s Chef Joe Cicala, but will also dish up plates prepared by chefs from some of the best South Philly spots.
Chef George Sabatino of Stateside and Chef Scott Schroeder of American Sardine Bar and South Philly Tap Room will both be cooking up a storm alongside Cicala.
The taste and spirit of the Italian region of Abruzzo will come alive at this event. The people of Abruzzo are known to party outside even in the middle of winter.
The meal will be prepared in a fire-heated cauldron in the outdoor garden, and served with tasty drinks outside.
This tasty night costs $70 per ticket and tickets can be purchased here.
Double bonus alert: all proceeds will benefit Project H.O.M.E., a non-profit organization whose goal is to end homelessness in Philadelphia.
