Tonight Picks: Pod’s Late-Night Happy Hour, Les Misérables At The Academy Of Music, Philadelphia Orchestra’s Mozart in His Time, And More

Les Misérables at the Academy of Music: If you’ve seen it in theaters, you’ve got to see it in person. Les Misérables at the Academy of Music is in full swing. Check out the esteemed musical (and recent movie box office hit) at 7:30 p.m. The traveling show boasts new staging and scenery inspired by paintings by Victor Hugo.

Blue Cross RiverRink: The RiverRink at Penn’s Landing is open until 9 p.m. tonight, the perfect activity for wintry nights. Grab your friends or family and skate around the ice rink while taking in sweeping views of the Delaware River.

Pod’s Late-Night Happy Hour: Take tonight to try out Pod’s most recent addition to their menu, their late-night happy hour. From 9 p.m.-close, enjoy $6 signature cocktails, $4 Yuengling Lagers and Yards Brawlers, $6 wine and $5 maki and dim sum. This is the perfect opportunity for the night owls out there.

Assistance at the Wilma Theater: Tonight marks the second night of the Philadelphia premiere of Assistance at the Wilma Theater. The comedic play is about a nasty boss and assistants who desperately want to accelerate at the company. Don’t miss this guaranteed hit. It is currently being developed by NBC into a TV sitcom starring the one and only Will Ferrell. Tickets are available online.

Rust- Neil Young Tribute at World Cafe Live: Spend your Thursday night with some live music at World Cafe Live. For any Neil Young lovers out there, tonight is your lucky night. Rust, a Neil Young tribute band will be performing at 8 p.m.

Philadelphia Orchestra Presents Mozart in His Time at the Kimmel Center: The work week is almost over, relax with some classical music tonight at Verizon Hall at the Kimmel Center. Listen to the Philadelphia Orchestra perform Mozart in His Time. Tonight’s performance will be even more impressive than usual, the orchestra will be performing without a conductor, as orchestras did during Mozart’s time.

Where: Kimmel Center, 300 S. Broad Street

Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition at the Franklin Institute: The last entry of the night is at 7:30 p.m. which allows enough time for those working 9-5 to check out the exhibit. Check out Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition during their evening hours. The exhibit remains open for all to see until 9 p.m.
