Tonight Picks: The 2013 Debut Of PAFA After Dark, The Return Of Pairings On The Parkway, Titanic At The Franklin Institute, And Much More

PAFA After Dark Presents Activate: PAFA After Dark is back for its first event of 2013. Tonight, check out Activate, an installment centering around their exhibit, The Female Gaze: Women Artists Making Their World. Get an insiders view from local artist, Sarah McEneaney who will be participating in a discussion for guests listening pleasure. Head out to the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts for a night of art, live music, intelligent discussion, and more.

Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition at the Franklin Institute: The last entry of the night is at 7:30 p.m. which allows enough time for those working 9-5 to check out the exhibit. Check out Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition during their evening hours. The exhibit remains open for all to see until 9 p.m.

Pairings on the Parkway: Tonight from 5-7 p.m. head out to Milk and Honey Cafe on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway for the winter edition of their Pairings on the Parkway event. Bring a bottle of your favorite wine and have the experts at Milk and Honey Cafe perfectly pair it with cheese and other snacks. Yum!

Pod’s Late-Night Happy Hour: Take tonight to try out Pod’s most recent addition to their menu, their late-night happy hour. From 9 p.m.-close, enjoy $6 signature cocktails, $4 Yuengling Lagers and Yards Brawlers, $6 wine and $5 maki and dim sum. This is the perfect opportunity for the night owls out there.

NextFab Bigger and Better Grand Opening Party: Four years ago Evan Malone launched the first edition of Nextfab, a co-op laboratory building equipped with digital workshop machines in the University City Science Center. Now, four years late, celebrate the opening of NextFab’s new, 21,00 square foot spot on Washington Avenue. From 6-9 p.m., attendees will get a sneak peek at the huge new space along with demonstations of the new capabilities like high-definition 3D printing, water jet cutting and more.

Act II Playhouse’s Why I’m Scared Of Dance By Jen Childs: The Act II playhouse in Ambler is entertaining guests with a hilarious play by Philadelphian, Jen Childs. Tonight at 8 p.m., check out this one-woman comedy that will explore hip-hop, tap, jazz and why dance is not for her.

Assistance at the Wilma Theater: Check out Assistance at the Wilma Theater tonight! The comedic play is about a nasty boss and assistants who desperately want to accelerate at the company.
