Now Open: Bufad, Philadelphia’s Newest Wood-Fired Pizza Restaurant, Celebrates Its Grand Opening Today, February 1

From the brilliant minds behind Cafe Lift and Prohibition Taproom comes yet another welcome addition to the Loft District—and this time it’s a pizza-slinging BYOB.

Bufad quietly opened right next to Prohibition Taproom last week with a limited menu and will be celebrating their grand opening all-day today.

The intimate 30-seat restaurant will offer both traditional and original wood-fired pies, a variety of small plates, as well as soup, salad, and dessert. The pizzeria is also fitted with an espresso machine and has reportedly been serving up some pretty mean affogatos.

Their BYOB status means guests are not only welcome to bring their own beer or wine, but they can also grab takeout from Prohibition Taproom’s extensive bottle list next door or grab a growler of one of the many rotating drafts.

TIP: If you go with a group (or a very thirsty date) and polish off a growler, you can leave the vessel behind and save yourself the $12 bottle fee.

Bufad will be open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday.

GO TO THIS PLACE ASAP. the mushroom pizza is outstanding. and the butternut squash antipasto is out of this world, too. this place lives up to its dominant brethren Prohibition Tap and Cafe Lift.
