To help cap off its yearlong bicentennial celebration, The Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University has teamed up with Art in City Hall to present Library of Life, a juried art exhibit that centers on humankind’s impact on the natural world.

More than 40 artists were selected by Jennifer Sontchi, the Director of Exhibits at The Academy of Natural Sciences, and Sean Stoops, a local artist.

The participating artists were encouraged to visit the academy and react through their artwork to the environmental and natural science on display throughout the museum.

Resulting works include the artists’ interpretations of the environmental theme in a wide range of mediums including photography, painting, sculpture and installation.

The exhibit is located in the Art Gallery in City Hall and can also be seen in display cases on the first, second and fourth floors and will run from now until May 24.
