March 13, 2013
Pi(e) lovers, take note. Celebrate the significance of the mathematical constant pi (3.14) with dinner of sweet and savory pies.
On Pi Day, March 14, Supper restaurant on South Street will be serving up plenty of circular dishes in honor of the day with a special all-pie menu during dinner service.
Start with savory options, available for $15, such as a Creole crawfish and artichoke pie with a Ritz cracker crust, or a stout-braised short rib and mushroom pie with horseradish cream.
Then, satisfy that sweet tooth with dessert pies, $7 each, including a Dutch apple pie with buttermilk ice cream, Mississippi mud pie with caramel swirl ice cream, oatmeal raisin pie with vanilla ice cream and much more.
But if you do the math, there’s no option but to try both the sweet and the savory — a two-course pie menu featuring one of each is just $19.
