From 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday, March 16, the American Swedish Historical Museum is hosting a pretty sweet (pun intended) celebration.
In Swedish culture, it’s tradition to celebrate spring with fresh waffles with jam and whipped cream.
Waffle Day is traditionally a celebration of the Christian holiday, Annunciation Day, but it now spans past the religious connotations and also celebrates the beginning of spring.
Swedes indulge in waffles in honor of Annunciation Day and spring on March 25, but the folks at the American Swedish Museum are serving up their waffles a little early. Yum.
For $10, enjoy tasty waffles, a beverage and museum admission. Tickets are available online or at the door.
