Spring is coming! It’s evident in the weather, the longer days and the start of festivals.
This Sunday, March 17, Weavers Way Co-op is hosting a Vegan Festival from noon to 4 p.m. Weavers Way’s Mt. Airy shop will serve as the core of the festivities.
Weavers Way will be providing guests with free vegan food to ease hunger pangs.
In spring festival nature, guests will have the option to explore an extensive outdoor market which will include tasty green smoothies, jewelry, vegan soaps and body-care products. Weavers Way’s Vegan Grill will also set up shop outside for guests looking to snack.
For the first time, Vegan Fest will also boast a vegan-themed pop-up lounge located at 555 Carpenter Lane. The pop-up lounge will give visitors the chance to witness a fermentation demonstration at 2 p.m. and will also offer live music, a preview of an upcoming food justice course and more.
Weavers Way’s Chestnut Hill shop will also be hosting festivities for tempeh, tofu and seitan lovers. Stop by the store for free samples, delicious food and live music.
