PAFA After Dark Returns With Word Play Thursday, March 21: An Evening Celebrating Women’s History Month
PAFA After Dark is back with a new theme for March.
PAFA After Dark: Word Play is set for Thursday, March 21 from 6 to 9 p.m. and will include all of the fun, artsy and entertaining events we’ve come to expect at PAFA’s after-hours social events.
This month, the fun continues with an extra special set of events honoring Women’s History Month.
Poets from the Mezzo Cammin Women Poets Timeline Project will be reading their poems for guest’s enjoyment. Listen to readings from Sonia Sanchez, Rachel Hadas and Marilyn Nelson.
For a little playtime with words, challenge a friend to speed scrabble over cocktails or take part in the oversized interactive concrete poem.
The event also includes live music from Suzette Ortiz and her band, and a text-based tour of PAFA’s current exhibit The Female Gaze: Women Artists Making Their World.
PAFA After Dark is free for members. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door for nonmembers.
