The Academy Of Natural Sciences To Host A Three-Day Long International Orchid Show And Sale, April 12-14

In partnership with the Southeastern Pennsylvania Orchid Society, the Academy of Natural Sciences hosts a three-day long international orchid show and sale from April 12 to 14.

Orchid vendors from all over the world will be in attendance with gardening supplies and orchid-related gifts in tow. In addition to vendors, more than 30 orchid exhibits will be on display as well. The exhibits will encompass thousands and thousands of beautiful, rare and colorful orchids for your viewing pleasure.

Over the course of the show, there will be lectures on topics like American orchids, how to care for your orchid based on signs from the flower, growing orchids under lights and more. The full schedule of lectures is available here.

Also, take a look at rare orchid books and check out a colorful display of some of Pennsylvania’s own blooming yellow ladies slippers.

There will also be a drawing for a framed photograph of this year’s show flower, Dark Laelia, Cattleya tenebrosa.

Access to the orchid show and sale is included in the price of general admission tickets to the academy.
