The highly anticipated Sunday, April 7 premiere of AMC’s sixth season of Mad Men has us jonesing for men in crisp suits and ladies in curve-hugging pencil skirts.
The timing is perfect for The Mütter Museum to host a Sixties-themed soiree for this year’s Mütter Ball, Saturday, April 6.
The Mad Men and medicine-themed costume gala (skinny tie and LBD encouraged) offers three ticketed experiences.
Beginning at 7 p.m., the Mütter Ball’s cocktail reception and gala dinner features top-notch, TV-dinner inspired fare and access to all lounges and the dance floor. Tickets will cost you $300 per person, but $200 is tax deductible.
For those just looking to dance the night away, grab tickets to the dance party with twist-era decor and dancing, hors d’oeuvres and a beer-and-wine bar from 8:30 p.m. to 1 a.m for $85 per person.
However, if you’re looking for an element of exclusivity, it might be best to pony up for passes to the posh Peppermint Lounge, dedicated to shaken-not-stirred inspired cocktails, specialty sweet and savory fare as well as entrance to the dance floor. Tickets are $170, and $75 per ticket is tax deductible.
Benefiting the College of Physicians, the country’s oldest professional medical organization, the Mütter Museum will keep museum and shop doors opened for guests, displaying its preserved collection of anatomical specimens, models and medical instruments until 11 p.m.
