Calling all urban treasure seekers!

The renowned shoppers’ paradise Brooklyn Flea is expanding to Philly this summer.

Beginning on Sunday, June 2, Brooklyn Flea Philly will set up shop at The Piazza at Schmidt’s, the open-air plaza in the heart of Northern Liberties. The market will be open every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. through the fall.

Way more than an average flea market, Brooklyn Flea is a veritable institution. Travel and Leisure magazine has even called it one of the world’s coolest bazaars.

Like the existing, incredibly popular New York locations, Brooklyn Flea Philly will feature a highly curated selection of local and regional vendors selling everything from fine antiques and vintage clothing to vinyl records and gourmet street food.

More than 100 hand-picked merchants will peddle their wares weekly at Brooklyn Flea Philly.

Though the complete lineup of vendors is not yet settled, here’s a preview of confirmed artisans, antiques merchants and food vendors set to join the Flea.

Thus far, antiques and architectural salvage vendors include Brompton Market, Philadelphia Salvage, Sunrise Antiques and Three Potato Four.

Look for vintage furniture from At Home Modern, Circa Dee and Dig This, with upcycled furniture from Chairloom and The Paint Wagon.

Vintage clothing dealers include Esther Woo Vintage and Hinterland Vintage, with handmade goods by Forage Haberdashery and Peg & Awl.

Finally, like its brothers it New York, Brooklyn Flea Philly is set to tap food vendors fit for connoisseurs. On opening day, come hungry for tastes from local fave Lil’ Pop Shop, Princeton-born The Bent Spoon, Mighty Quinn’s Barbecue, Ovenly and sandwich hero Paesano’s, as well as Brooklyn Flea staples Grady’s Cold Brew and Red Hook Lobster Pound.

Mark your calendars for the marvelous market’s opening day, and stay tuned for more on this and other awesome alfresco shopping this spring and summer.
