HyLo Boutiques in Old City hosts local coffee houses in a coffee and cheese tasting this Friday, June 7.
The coffee scene in Philadelphia goes way beyond providing your standard cup o’ joe.
From talented bands of local roasters to award-winning third-wave coffee shops, this city is definitely having a coffee moment.
But that dark brew isn’t the only finely crafted product to see a revival in Philadelphia.
Di Bruno Brothers takes artisanal cheese to a whole new level with its incredible selection, and our craft beer scene is one of the best in the country (yup, so says Forbes).
This Friday, June 7, the lovely folks at HyLo Boutiques aim to show off our city’s coffee, cheese and beer culture with a festive tasting event at its charming Old City digs.
Come out to celebrate the new book, Di Bruno Bros. House of Cheese, hear stories and taste coffee from top shops that helped to spark the java revival like Spruce Street, Ultimo, Bodhi, Shot Tower and Elixr, and pair those cups with a variety of cheese.
For those who prefer a different kind of jolt, craft beer will be flowing, too.
The tasting affair is free and open to the public. Follow along on Twitter with #phlcoffee.
Cheers to savoring the city.
