Sip wine, snack on cheese and savor a balmy evening experiencing nature at its best at The Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education’s Nature Uncorked! series this summer.
Up first, join in the educational fun for Nature Uncorked! A River Again: A Riverside Discussion this Thursday, June 27.
Hear from A River Again author Chari Towne at a special location right along the Schuylkill River, and learn how the Schuylkill went from the nation’s dirtiest river to the recreational destination it’s becoming today.
Next month, July 11 brings the second installment, Butterflies Days, Firefly Nights. Listen to poems and stories while you stroll through the center’s meadow to look for butterflies and lightening bugs.
The final talk on July 18, Days of Wine and Flowers, will focus on the nature center’s wildflowers and include a meandering meadow walk to stop and smell (and learn about!) all the wildflowers in bloom.
All talks start at 7:30 p.m. Each talk is $15 for members of The Schuylkill Center and $20 for non-members. The center is also offering a discount for those who sign up for all three talks — $40 for members, $50 for non-members.
To register for an event, call 215-482-7300, ext. 110.
