Travel Through Time At Retro-Rama, The Opening Event Of The 1968 Exhibit At The National Constitution Center, Thursday, June 13
To kick off its new marquee display The 1968 Exhibit, the National Constitution Center hosts a ’60s-centric party, Retro-Rama, this Thursday, June 13.
All things ’60s come together at this evening soiree.
From 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., walk the (ahem) shag carpet in your best decade fashion. Don those bell bottoms, tie dye tees and shift dresses at Retro-Rama.
Food hailing from 1968 fills the menu; enjoy a TV dinner station (think chicken pot pies, Salisbury steak and more), a British invasion station (bangers and mash, fish and chips and more), a fondue station and dessert. The full menu is available here.
Since everyone knows a party is nothing without a drink pairing, the National Constitution Center is set to pour Victory Summer Love ale, cocktails made with Bombay Sapphire East Gin and Dewar’s Scotch Whisky.
Enjoy music of the decade from the renowned cover band, Strictly ’60s, and see the National Constitution Center as its never been seen before, decked out in vintage furniture and era decor.
Bonus: Guests also have the opportunity to explore The 1968 Exhibit exhibit before anyone else. The exhibit doesn’t officially open to the public until Friday, June 14.
Tickets are $40 for non-members and $35 for members and are available online.
