On National Fried Chicken Day, July 6, Philadelphia fried chicken mecca Federal Donuts gave away golden tickets to win sweet swag, including fried chicken for life.
Twenty winners claimed tickets, with two lucky souls walking away with the grand prize of a lifetime supply of fried chicken.
If you missed out on round one, you’re in luck.
One chicken-for-life ticket was never redeemed, so the good people of Federal Donuts are going in for another round of the contest.
Through next Friday, July 26, visit either the Pennsport or Center City location of Fed ‘Nuts and enter to win the final grand prize by donating $1 to Broad Street Ministry, a hospitality collaborative that provides meals and social services for those in need.
The restaurant will match all the donations throughout the week, and will then hold a drawing on Friday, July 26, to award the unclaimed chicken-for-life ticket to one fortunate patron.
Folks flocked to Federal Donuts to participate in the contest two weeks ago, so it’s best to arrive early (maybe daily!) to ensure you won’t walk away hungry.
Then, just cross your fingers as you chow down and know your $1 is going to a good cause, regardless of personal winnings.
