Made In Philly Rocks The Blockley In University City With Local Talent This Friday, August 30

Before Jay Z, Beyonce and friends take over the Benjamin Franklin Parkway for the Made in America music festival this Saturday and Sunday, head to West Philly to jam with local Philly talent.

This Friday, August 30, Made in Philly spotlights the local music scene with an evening-long showcase of Philly’s own rising stars.

The one-night-only concert takes over The Blockley in University City with a roster of more than 15 locally renowned acts.

From up-and-comers to local staples, the lineup includes the likes of Chase Allen, Sterling Simms, Jade Alston, Ape Gang, Asia Sparks and AL 1 Thing, along with tunes from DJ Aktive, DJ Aye Boogie and DJ R to da Izza.

Playing host for the evening will be Hot 107.9’s Q Deezy, and rumor has it that surprise guests are in store.

Tickets are $20 for the concert and available online.

Come out to West Philly and celebrate this city’s own musical talent before the international superstars take center stage.
