Not quite ready to say goodbye to The Awesome Fest, the free ’80s film festival? Neither are we.
Luckily, due to a few rainy days this summer, The Awesome Fest at Drexel Park spans past the official festival end date (August 17) for a few additional outdoor movie screenings.
The summer-long festival has brought Philadelphia a bunch of ’80s-centric films for free on giant outdoor screens. This week, the final two films will not disappoint.
Tonight, tune in to a free screening of the much loved film, Adventures in Babysitting.
The festival officially ends on Thursday, August 22, with a free screening of the ’80s edition of Batman starring Jack Nicholson as the manic Joker. Both films begin at dusk, which is slated for 9 p.m. this week.
The weather this week is looking pretty perfect — pack some snacks, a blanket and get outside for a free screening (or two!).
