Tonight Picks: Drink And Dine Alfresco At Restaurant Week And At The Final Center City Sips Of The Season, Phashion Phest At Liberty Place And More

Center City is more abuzz than ever with Restaurant Week (hello, discounted dinner plans) and the last Center City Sips of the season. Pair dinner and drinks with this perfect early-fall weather and call it a night.

The Philadelphia Collection comes to an end this evening, but not before providing the city with a few more fashion-forward events all over the city.

A pay-what-you-wish theater performance and museum entry is on tap tonight, too. And even some free craft beer. Talk about wallet-friendly.

Phashion Phest at the Shops at Liberty Place: The Philadelphia Collection, the fashion-forward week-long festival, draws to a close this evening with a grand finale runway show, cocktail party and silent auction at Liberty Place. Beginning at 7 p.m., the evening event invites guest to check out the latest trends from student designers, Philadelphia-area boutiques, national shops and through salon presentations. Indulge in a top-shelf open bar and partake in a silent auction, too. Tickets are $60 at the door (and $25 for those under 21).

Pay-What-You-Can Performance of Parade at the Arden Theatre: Catch the Arden Theatre’s season opener for any price you’d like to pay tonight. The celebratory pay-what-you-wish performance of Parade, a Tony Award-winning show, brings together stirring music and a powerful story. The suggested donation to take in this special preview is $25 and all proceeds benefit the Hamilton Family Arts Center, the Arden Theatre’s education center. Don’t sleep on this! Tickets for the performance normally range from $36 to $48.

Center City Sips: Okay, it’s truly the last evening for Center City Sips. The popular summertime promotion extended the $5 cocktails, $4 wine, $3 beer and half-priced appetizers through the end of September to soothe any end-of-summer blues. Center City District Restaurant Week: The fall installment of Center City Restaurant Week is here for the tasting. Enjoy discounted meals at more than 100 participating restaurants including Garces Trading Company, Opa, R2L and Sampan. Restaurant week dinners ring in at $35 per person. Johnny Brenda’s 10-Year Anniversary: Celebrate 10 years of Johnny Brenda’s at its multi-day birthday fete. At 10 p.m., head out for pint upon pint of craft beer as the Fishtown haunt taps a firkin of beer and even offers up some free pints. Yes, that’s right, free.

Pay-What-You-Wish Wednesday at the Philadelphia Museum of Art: Discover the Philadelphia Museum of Art’s extensive collection at whatever price you choose to pay at its weekly Pay-What-You-Wish Wednesday event. From 5 to 8:45 p.m., make your way through the collection housed in the main building which includes art ranging from works by modern artists to art from thousands and thousands of years ago. An assortment of activities abound; art-centric films, yoga, themed tours and more.
