Weekend Picks: Enjoy The Sunny Skies At The Mexican Independence Day Festival, Rally For Rail Park Block Party, Oktoberfest Events And More
Okay, Philadelphia, it’s the final full weekend of summer, and time to soak in the sunshine. The forecast promises practically perfect late-summer weather, too, complete with sunny skies and temps in the low-to-mid 70s.
Head outside to a bunch of festivals happening in the city and countryside.
The Delaware River Waterfront presents the last event in the PECO Multicultural Series of summer festivals — the Mexican Independence Day Festival on Sunday at Penn’s Landing. Also on the waterfront, Morgan’s Pier toasts to all things pumpkin with its Pumpkin Week celebration.
Plus, just over a week remains of the popular Fringe Festival which has brought hundreds of avant-garde performances to theaters and performance spaces across the city. Be sure to check it out before it’s over.
And this Sunday marks day one of the hotly anticipated Center City Restaurant Week… try to snag an outdoor table.
