Hey, beer buffs! Are you ready for the King of Prussia Beerfest Royale?
A huge craft-beer extravaganza set outdoors at The Plaza at the King of Prussia Mall, the festival is set to pour more than 100 craft and international beers, serve a wide array of fare from area restaurants and host a slew of live bands this Saturday, October 5.
A two-day brewfest, the now-sold-out preview happy hour event is Thursday night, with the main event split into two sessions on Saturday.
With two tents of craft and internationals beer, two stages featuring live music and a central plaza with tons of food and vendors, this is one festival you won’t want to miss.
Heads up: During session one, Uwishunu will be in the house as a judge! We’ll be helping to determine the best beer and food of the fest alongside Adam Schmidt from Drink Philly, Marisa Magnatta from Preston & Steve, Jared Littman from Philly Tap Finder and Caroline Russock from City Paper.
Sound like a good time? Read on for our guide to this weekend’s beer-fueled festival.
The two-day event kicks off on Thursday, October 3, but the all-day festival hits King of Prussia on Saturday, October 5.
The Thursday night event, Donnerstag: Happy Hour, is an all-inclusive evening of food and beer pairings, beer-infused cocktails, a cigar lounge, live music by The Hoppin’ John Orchestra and more. The event is sold out, so if you haven’t scored tickets already, you’ll have to wait until next year.
The main event on Saturday is split into two sessions, from noon to 3:30 p.m. or 6 to 9:30 p.m. Tickets grant unlimited access to taste brews from more than 50 brewers in two tents with live music on two stages and an outdoor beer garden.
Both sessions feature the same lineup of brews and food, so choosing which session to attend can be purely based on timing.
The alfresco festival is held in the parking lot adjacent to Mall Boulevard at The Plaza at the King of Prussia Mall and is solely for those over the age of 21, which means no kids at this party.
