The Food and Drink
Penn Treaty Park will be filled with festival-appropriate food and plenty of beer.
Returning for another year, the festival’s beer garden will keep the good times flowing by serving up local brews. Admission to the beer garden is via a $20 donation, and includes craft beer from nearby Philadelphia Brewing Company, Neshaminy Creek Brewing and other local breweries.
With that $20 donation, you’ll gain entry into the private tent with seating, and prime views of the mainstage and a bottomless cup for beer.
Plus, if get your ticket now, you can jump the lines on Saturday and also get a $2 discount on entry. To make your donation for a wristband now, check online.
The Music and Entertainment
The festivities begin with the RiverCity Fun Run, a 5K dash through the streets of Fishtown hosted by the Delaware River Waterfront Corporation. Day-of registration for the run begins at 11 a.m. and includes a free t-shirt (for the first 100 participants) and free admission to the festival’s beer garden.
No need to race to enjoy this fest, though. Most simply turn up to spend time in the scenic and historic park, shop a wide array of goods peddled by more than 40 local vendors, rock to live music and enjoy food and drink.
On the mainstage, catch tunes from headliner Vactioner, as well as American Babies, Cheers Elephant, John Francis and the Midnight Choir and The Fractals. For the complete schedule, check here.
Families will want to report directly to the family fun area, with the Philadelphia Zoo-on-Wheels, an inflatable rock wall and obstacle course, moon bounce, magic shows and plenty of games.
