Happy Thanksgiving, Philadelphia!

With the opening of two brand-new holiday attractions — Skate at the Piazza (a 5,000-square-foot ice skating rink at the Piazza at Schmidt’s!) and Waterfront Winterfest (a pop-up holiday village complete with a beer garden, restaurant, craft market, a holiday light show) at the Blue Cross RiverRink, and the opening of countless well-loved holiday attractions — Macy’s Christmas Light Show, Comcast Holiday Spectacular, Christmas Village and A Longwood Christmas, to name a few — the upcoming long weekend has plenty to be thankful for.

Due to the upcoming holiday we’re publishing our Weekend Picks two days early to make sure we can include all of the awesome happenings set for today, tomorrow, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

And note that we’ll be ducking out a little bit early today, but as always, be sure to follow Uwishunu on Twitter for ongoing updates all weekend long.

And again, Happy Thanksgiving, everyone. Our top picks for this weekend, below.
