In case you haven’t heard, every Friday night through November 22 (with the exception of November 15), The Awesome Fest presents double feature drive-in films at Eakins Oval beginning at 7:30 p.m.

A drive-in movie theater in Center Center? Yup! To celebrate the 80th anniversary of the drive-in, The Awesome Fest and Enterprise CarShare have teamed up to bring Philadelphia free, outdoor movies every week, complete with on-site concessions serving up popcorn, soda, candy and soft pretzels, plus different food trucks each week to vend delicious eats.

Tonight, The Awesome Fest Drive-In screens two creepy cult classics — Arachnophobia and Big Ass Spider!

And you’re in luck. Tickets for vehicles are still available for tonight, and, as always, attending as bicyclist and/or pedestrian is free.

Score tickets for tonight and future weeks online.

Next week, Friday, November 15, the event takes a brief hiatus so the city can host the Philadelphia Marathon, but the drive-in will return for a grand finale on November 22.
