Happy Snow Day, Philadelphia! The city looks picturesque under a blanket of snow, so enjoy the beauty of winter with brunches, First Friday, museum visits and more. Like an Eagles playoff game(!!). (Photo by G. Widman for Visit Philadelphia)
It’s a super snowy weekend, Philadelphia. The white dusting over the City of Brotherly Love brings a weekend of winter cheer to all inhabitants.
Due to the inclement weather, be sure to call ahead regarding closures and cancellations, and check the hashtag #OpenInPHL on Twitter for all of the latest updates.
In the meantime, look forward to First Friday festivities all around the region (including a birthday party at The Barnes Foundation!), opportunities to cozy up and dine next to a roaring fireplace, the final weekend of Léger: Modern Art And The Metropolis at the Philadelphia Museum of Art and KAWS @ PAFA and, of course, the Eagles’ huge playoff game on Saturday night.
The Birds take on the New Orleans Saints at Lincoln Financial Field at 8 p.m. Saturday and we have a rundown of some of the best places to watch the game at bars around town. Remember, the Eagles want their fans to help them crash the NFL’s playoff party and who are we to say no to a friend?
In the meantime, today is a snow day for many. And we have a few suggested neighborhood bar crawls for folks looking to get out of the house. Just remember that it is beyond cold out there today, so be safe, stay warm and enjoy the snow!
