For a night out with drag diva Martha Graham Cracker, premier restaurateur Aimee Olexy of Talula’s Garden, Project Runway alum Kirsten Haskins Simms and many more notable locals, join in the annual Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner? benefit and auction supporting the neighborhood of Mt. Airy.
Set for Saturday, March 15, the yearly soiree — now in its 10th year — takes over the historic Sedgwick Theater with an evening of culinary treats, live music and both a silent and live auction to support Mt. Airy and honor community leaders Bill & Mary Hangley and Shelly Yanoff.
This year, the Art Deco architecture of the Sedgwick inspires a festive theme, with Roaring Twenties-style atmosphere setting off food and drink from such Mt. Airy restaurants as Earth Bread + Brewery, Jyoti Indian Bistro, Malelani and Avenida.
Beyond the food, guests will enjoy jazz standards from the musical whiz kids of the School of Rock, live piano from Rich Rudin, founder of Maplewood Studios, a live raffle, silent auction, and a goodie-jammed live auction hosted by none other than by Dito Van Reigersberg, a.k.a. Martha Graham Cracker.
Tickets to the annual event start at $85 for guests age 35 and under, and are available online.
