The Brewer’s Plate features dozens of the area’s most celebrated independently owned eateries and breweries, including Dock Street Brewery, and debuts in its 10th anniversary year at the Kimmel Center, Sunday, March 9. (R. Kennedy for Visit Philadelphia)
Ladies and gentlemen, prepare your appetites.
Next Sunday, March 9, Fair Food Philly presents The Brewer’s Plate 10th Anniversary Celebration, an exceptional beer-and-food pairing event featuring food and brews from some of the area’s top chefs, brewers, farmers, distiller and winemakers.
The hugely popular event (that generally sells out) moves to the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts for the first time, but the mission remains the same — all proceeds benefit the nonprofit, which is dedicated to bringing locally grown food to Philadelphia restaurants and consumers.
For its 10th anniversary year, the culinary bash promises to be a cut above years past with celebrity guests, exclusive beers, break-out sessions and a new Locavore Lounge featuring a curated group of vendors like Choptank Oyster Company, Weckerly’s Ice Cream, Dock Street Tavern & Brewery, Philadelphia Distilling, Victory Brewing Company and many more.
With more than 74 participating restaurants, purveyors, brewers and distillers, there’s sure to be an opportunity to sample new flavors from the Philadelphia-area foodshed. For the complete list of participants, check here.
Tickets to the eat-for-a-cause event start at $65 for general admission and $125 for VIP tickets, which include early entry at 5:30 p.m., a keepsake tasting glass and tons of additional swag.
Scoop up tickets online and eat your way through this delicious annual event to support local foods.
