In Philadelphia, members of the tightly knit chef community regularly join forces to present special menus and one-off tasting events, and the new Chef Collaboration Dinner series from chef David Ansill at Bar Ferdinand is a standout.
For one night only, Ansill and Schroeder will serve a menu inspired by both of their styles, including such dishes as marinated sardine and a warm pigs-head terrine tapas, grilled bluefish, smoked pork shoulder and house-made doughnuts.
The six-course meal runs $55 a person, and seatings for the collaboration menu begin at 6 p.m.
