This Thursday, March 6, the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts opens its doors for an after-hours art party as part of its recurring PAFA After Dark series.
This month, the popular event offers up a Block Party, a celebration of the city of Brotherly Love’s favorite party plan, and calls upon the folks of First Person Arts for an evening of drinks, food, StorySlam performances and after-hours access to the exhibitions.
At the event, guests of all walks of life will have the opportunity to share their own Philadelphia story via the event’s own StorySlam, an open-to-all storytelling competition with participants drawn right from the attendees.
Also look forward to complimentary Philly-inspired food and a cash bar.
PAFA After Dark: Block Party, is presented in conjunction with the museum’s current marquee exhibition, Beyond the Paint: Philadelphia’s Mural Arts, a look at the history and work of the city’s Mural Arts Program.
As usual, tickets are free for PAFA members and $10 in advance and $15 at the door for non-members.
