Hey, music fans! Philadelphia’s epic Roots Picnic is set to return to Festival Pier at Penn’s Landing for its seventh year on Saturday, May 31, kicking off the summer season with a blockbuster day of live music on the Delaware River waterfront.
With a reputation as the hardest working band in music, The Roots are not only the house band for The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, but also a group that delivers amazing musical lineups for marquee Philadelphia events like the Roots Picnic and the Welcome America 4th of July concert.
As always, the lineup for the seventh annual event includes talent from a wide range of genres. For the group’s 2014 festival, headliners span from none other than Snoop Dogg, who will be backed up by The Roots, to up-and-coming Philly star Chill Moody.
Also look out for Janelle Monaé, Action Bronson, War On Drugs, A$AP Ferg, araabMUZIK, Jhené Aiko, Rudimental, Just Blaze, Bad Rabbits, and many more.
Regular tickets go on sale tomorrow, March 7 at noon, but right now — today only! — you can score tickets to the annual music fest online for just $40 with the early-bird password “access.”
The pre-sale tickets are available online until midnight tonight, and do include a $13.50 ticketing fee.
While you’re booking tickets, check out deals on Philadelphia hotel rooms, too, to stay over in town and complete the weekend.
