Visit The Wineries Of The Brandywine Valley Wine Trail For Barrels On The Brandywine, Weekend Wine Tasting Events All March Long

Every weekend in March, the wineries of the Brandywine Valley Wine Trail host special tasting and events for its annual Barrels on the Brandywine event. (Photo by B. Krist for Visit Philadelphia)

The wineries of the Brandywine Valley Wine Trail celebrate the change from winter to spring (!) with its annual Barrels on the Brandywine event, a full month of wine and food tastings, special events and this year, even some food trucks.

Every Saturday and Sunday in March, each winery hosts Barrels on the Brandywine guests for varying activities and a number of events designed specifically for the event.

Look forward to tastings of newly-developed and favorite wines, live music, cheese and olive oil tastings, cellar tours and much more.

Participating wineries include Penns Woods Winery, Black Walnut Winery and Borderland Vineyard.

Visit Penns Woods Winery this weekend and sip green wine in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day.

The full list of participating wineries and their events is available right here.

To attend the weekly Barrels on the Brandywine events, purchase a Brandywine Passport for $25 per person. Passports are available online and at participating wineries. Passports include wine tastings at all wineries and a commemorative wine glass.

Those who visit all six participating wineries will be entered to win a prize package upon showing their completed passport to the folks at the last winery they visit.

What better way to usher in the warmer weather than with a glass of wine in hand?
