Recently named Food & Wine Best New Chef 2014, rock-star slinger of exotic breads and pristine plates Eli Kulp can’t possibly cook everything at his three kitchens — Fork, High Street on Market and a.kitchen — all by himself.
So, he’s called on local cheesemakers and food artisans to back him up on the latest round of Friends and Family Dinners at High Street on Market.
Tonight, Tuesday, April 22, the series launches with contributions from Phickle’s Amanda Feifer, with a menu that draws inspiration from Eastern Europe, the Balkans and Russia. The Fermentation Series continues May 13 and June 17; look for coffee, chocolate, cheese, yogurt and pickles, among other fermented delicacies.
The Tuesday, May 6 edition brings in Valley Shepherd Creamery cheesemaker Jaenine Dargis who will share some of her Basque-influenced cheeses, and June brings out Tenaya Darlington, a.k.a. Madame Fromage.
