Philadelphia’s rapidly expanding fashion scene has an amazing torchbearer in the form of pint-sized design powerhouse Dominque “Dom” Streater.
A West Philadelphia native and Moore College of Art and Design graduate, the young fashion designer has already made a national name for herself as the winner of Project Runway Season 12.
Know for her use of vivid colors and graphic prints with contemporary cuts, Streater took home the big Project Runway win thanks to her clear design vision and expert execution.
Recently, Streater debuted her first collection at New York Fashion Week and Philly Fashion Week, and now she’s continuing to develop her signature bold aesthetic with the launch of a spring 2014 capsule collection.
Designed in her studio, which is just blocks away from South Street, the new collection includes pieces that are merely perfect for a bright spring wardrobe update
Set for release tomorrow, Tuesday, April 29, the collection will be available primarily online, and — for just a few hours — in-person at a Philadelphia-only release party.
A one-night-only affair, the collection will be available at the boutique just Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. while supplies last.
Want to join in the launch party? Be sure to RSVP right here to let the stylish hosts know.
