Raise A Glass To The Philadelphia Phillies Home Opener At Bars And Restaurants In And Around Town, Tuesday, April 8

Update: Due to inclement weather, the Phillies Home Opener has been postponed from Monday, April 7 to Tuesday, April 8.

Alright, sports fans. The Philadelphia Phillies home opener hits Citizens Bank Park tomorrow, Tuesday, April 8 to kick off another sweet season of Major League Baseball in Philadelphia.

After playing the Texas Rangers and the Chicago Cubs, the Phils will now play the first home game, facing off against the Milwaukee Brewers tomorrow starting at 4:05 p.m.

Pumped for the start of baseball season? So are a bunch of Philadelphia bars and restaurants.

Pub & Kitchen: Graduate Hospital neighborhood hangout Pub & Kitchen welcomes the at-home start to the Phillies’ season with extended hours and deals on meals. Opening at noon on Tuesday, April 8, P&K will air the game with the sound on and serve up a special sausage sandwich for $7 and local drafts for $3 throughout the day.

Iron Hill Brewery: In honor of baseball season, Iron Hill Brewery locations across the region have tapped the annual release of Phightin’ Phils Pils, a Northern German-style pilsner. Plus, the beer juggernaut is also serving up special Phillies-inspired quarter-pound hot dogs like The Big Piece Dog, made with smoked beef brisket and topped with sautéed onion and chipotle barbecue sauce.

Xfinity Live!: For an up-close afternoon amid all of the opening day action, fans can check out Xfinity Live!, adjacent to Citizens Bank Park. The Phillies opening day block party and concert kicks off at 12:30 p.m., just as the opening day pre-game ceremonies start at the ballpark. Before and after the game, The Rockets perform on the outdoor concert stage.
