The towns of New Hope, Pennsylvania and Lambertville, New Jersey celebrate their gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered residents and visitors with a weeklong celebration, New Hope Celebrates Pride, which is now in its 11th year. From Sunday, May 11 to Sunday, May 18, the towns come alive with LGBT events all week long.
The festivities culminate with the annual pride parade on Saturday, May 17 from noon to 1 p.m. throughout the downtown streets. Look forward to colorful floats, bands, dance troupes and LGBT support from the community of independent shops, restaurants, businesses, bed and breakfasts and more.
In addition to the parade on May 17, shop items from a vendor fair and enjoy live performances at the Rock the Block Party. Browse goods from more than 40 local shops and businesses while grooving to live music and watching renowned performers take the main stage.
Beyond the marquee events, also enjoy dance parties at the Raven, a comedy show, a pride-themed bingo game, drag queen performances, an LGBT history exhibition, children’s programming, a girl’s night out at Triumph Brewing Company and much more.
