For 10-weeks this summer, the Philadelphia Museum of Art invites youngsters to spend their summer vacation within the art museum as it presents its popular family-friendly promotion Art Splash, which returns for its second year beginning this Friday, June 27.
Each week, Art Splash spotlights a different influential artwork housed inside of the PMA through kid-targeted programming.
Art Splash opens this weekend, June 27 through 29, with “Splash into Summer” a slew of programming inspired by Vincent van Gogh’s masterpiece, Sunflowers. During opening weekend, look forward family gallery tours, activities for the youngest of kids, treasure hunts, music and more. Art Splash kicks off with a dance party at the PMA’s Art After 5 event on June 27.
The fun continues through September 1 as Art Splash spotlights nine additional artworks through tours, games, crafts, stories and more.
