The farm-to-table concept goes next level (table on farm?) with High Street on Market’s latest dinner series, which takes the table right to the farm.
Held in collaboration with cheese expert Tenaya Darlington (a.k.a. Madame Fromage), the New Moon Harvest Dinners and Cheese Pairings are scheduled for three summer evenings at three separate area farms and feature hyper-seasonal, exceptionally local fare right at the source.
The first installment will be on Friday, June 27 at Meadow Set Farm & Apiary in Landenberg, PA, which is known for lamb and sheep’s milk cheese.
Guests are asked to bring their own place settings and beverages of choice — the hosts will provide tables and chairs, a complete dinner and a cheese board with the farm’s selections curated by the curd-loving lady of the hour.
For competitive types: The most creative place setting will be rewarded with a dinner at High Street on Market and a pound of farm cheese.
Nonrefundable tickets are $85 per person, and dinners are limited to 25 guests, so advance purchase is necessary.
Next up? A pork-fueled dinner on Saturday, July 26 at Cherry Grove Farm, in Lawrenceville, NJ and a veal-based meal on Saturday, August 23 Birchrun Hills Farm, in Chester Springs.
For reservations, call High Street on Market at 215-625-0988.
