Looking for a way to celebrate your favorite cute, cuddly canine? You’re in luck!

Tuesday, August 26 marks National Dog Day, and Hotel Monaco Philadelphia is rolling out the red carpet for the city’s four-legged friends.

From 5 to 8 p.m., the Monaco will host a pop-up puppy boutique where dogs can come, sit and stay to receive a good scrubbing. Doggie Style, one of Philly’s most beloved pet stores and boutiques, will give away gift bags to participants.

Although the wash is free, donations are appreciated. All proceeds will go to Operation Ava, a local no-kill shelter.

Don’t worry — there’s fun in store for the city’s human celebrants as well.

The patio at the hotel’s excellent eatery, Red Owl Tavern, will offer a “Dogs & Suds” happy hour featuring two canine-inspired food specials: the Philly Dog, a Kobe beef hot dog served with ketchup, German hot spicy mustard, diced onion, piccalilli and sauerkraut; and the Virginia Dog topped with chili, chopped onions and coleslaw.

Guests can also enjoy Dogfish Head brews for just $6 each. A portion of the proceeds from happy hour will be donated to Operation Ava as well.
