There’s a palpable summer spirit in the air for numerous events going down this evening — a local team in the Little League World Series, Center City Sips, free concerts, outdoor dining events and more.

Beginning at 7:30 p.m., local Little Leaguers, the Taney Dragons, play their third game in the Little League World Series. Cheer for the home team at a number of watch parties throughout the city — including at City Hall, Commerce Square, Xfinity Live and Lovett Library Park in Mt. Airy. The town of Media celebrates the warm summer nights with its weekly Dining Under the Stars event, an opportunity to dine and shop on State Street as it’s closed to vehicular traffic on Wednesday evenings.

Also tonight, Rittenhouse Square hosts a free concert from 6 to 9 p.m., Center City Sips dishes happy hour deals out at more than 80 restaurants and pay-what-you-wish Wednesday occurs at the National Museum of American Jewish History and the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

Where To Watch The Taney Dragons: Tonight, the Taney Dragons, a local Little League team, compete in the Little League World Series. Philadelphia Weekly’s Concerts in the Park in Rittenhouse Square: Get ready to rock out alfresco in Rittenhouse Square as Concerts in the Park, presented by Philadelphia Weekly return tonight from 6 to 9 p.m. Look forward to a free two-hour set from DJ Cash Money, lively world sounds from Worldtown Sound System, and an eminently danceable Afro-Cuban-inspired set from Pablo Batista and his Mambo Syndicate.

Dining Under the Stars in Media: The town of Media celebrates summer evenings with Dining Under the Stars, alfresco shopping and dining events along State Street from Jackson and Orange streets. State Street closes to vehicular traffic as restaurants and shops take it outside. Live music rounds out the event, which runs from 5 to 11 p.m.

Pay-What-You-Wish Wednesday at the National Museum of American Jewish History: Every Wednesday night this summer, the National Museum of American Jewish History throws opens its Old City doors for any sized donation from 5 to 8 p.m. for the return of its Pay-What-You-Wish Wednesday events. The event runs from 5 to 8 p.m. every Wednesday through Labor Day.

Yards Beef and Beer Cruise on the Spirit of Philadelphia: The Spirit of Philadelphia hosts a Yards Beef and Beer Dinner cruise tonight, August 20. Cruise the Delaware River while filling up on unlimited fare from a buffet and unlimited brews from local brewery, Yards. Boarding begins at 6:30 p.m., and the cruise starts at 7 p.m. The Spirit of Philadelphia departs from Penn’s Landing. Tickets start at $56.90 and are available online.
