The vast square footage of the Crane Arts complex houses a diverse array of creative outfits, from individual artists to multifaceted organizations, all celebrating the breadth of Philadelphia’s creative scope.

This weekend, longtime Crane Arts resident InLiquid, an art and design non-profit organization, throws its annual multi-day bash Benefit v.15 on Friday, February 6 and Saturday, February 7.

During this yearly fete, InLiquid showcases an incredible array of works produced by a huge selection of local artists, with the proceeds going back to sustain InLiquid’s ongoing mission to support local visual artists through its online presence and community programming.

The Party

With 250 participating local artists showing everything from fashion and jewelry to photography and paintings, the eclectic range of work on display in the silent auction format is awe inspiring.

This year’s theme, “Win Back the Winter,” takes shape not necessarily in the art, but in the festive atmosphere with a heated and tented winter beer garden, colorful LED trees by Hoffman Design Group, Inc. and an ice carving demonstration by Roger Wing.

Bites and drinks will be on hand, too, with drinks from an open bar featuring Philadelphia Distilling Company and Philadelphia Brewing Company, and eats from by Birchtree Catering.

After the art party, an afterparty with hot coffee and desserts winds down the festivities at the La Colombe Torrefaction flagship in Fishtown.

Tickets

Tickets for the Saturday night main event are $50 in advance and $65 at the door, and can be purchased online. Note that advance tickets sales ends Friday, February 6.

For those who just want to take in the awesome artwork preceding the main event, a Young Professionals Party will take place during First Friday at the Crane on Friday, February 6 from 6 to 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $5 in advance, $10 at the door, and advance tickets include a free drink.

The art-filled weekend continues for auction winners on Sunday, too, with a pickup party at Crane Arts from noon to 4 p.m. Winners can stop by Crane Arts to pick up their items, browse the remaining pieces and enjoy light refreshments.

And if you can’t make it out to the soiree at all, there is still an opportunity to bid remotely on the amazing artwork and items in the silent auction with online bidding. Bidders receive up to the minute results anytime and anywhere, and preview and online bidding is available now here.

The annual fundraising event — now in its 15th year — is an extraordinary opportunity to not only support a superb local arts collaborative, but also offers up the opportunity to start (or grow) a collection of original, locally made artwork.

Be there.
