With springtime just around the corner (and warmer temperatures finally here), it’s time to start prepping Mother Nature for the season.
Enter TreePhilly, a Philadelphia Parks & Recreation initiative that aims to increase the number of trees in Philadelphia, and thus, the air quality. TreePhilly gives free trees to homeowners for planting in their front, back or side yard. The initiative is returning for another season of free tree-giving this spring, but before it returns, the folks behind TreePhilly are celebrating with a few local beers at Yards Brewing Company.
Next Thursday, March 19 from 6 to 8 p.m., head to the Delaware Avenue brewery for the Tree for All Party, in celebration of the return of TreePhilly’s free tree giveaway season. While enjoying local beers, also take part in tree-themed activities and plenty of tree discussions.
Registration for the party is completely free, and those who register will receive their first beer on the house. Click here to register.
Stay tuned for more information on TreePhilly.
