The theme of tonight is free fun thanks to a number of no-cost happenings like free movie screenings, free concert at Spruce Street Harbor Park and free yoga.

Spruce Street Harbor Park hosts its monthly WXPN-curated concert tonight as the pop-up park welcomes Spaceship Aloha & Glass Ghost for a free show at 8 p.m.

The Schuylkill Banks continues its outdoor movie series with a free screening of Safety Not Guaranteed under the Walnut Street Bridge. Beyond the free movie, the folks behind the screening also promise free snacks and free soda for guests.

Free Screening of Safety Not Guaranteed at the Schuylkill Banks

Pack a picnic dinner and head to the Schuylkill Banks by the Walnut Street Bridge for a free screening of Safety Not Guaranteed, which stars Mark Duplass and Aubrey Plaza. For the younger set, the Children’s Discovery Garden will be open with tons of activities and fun for kids.

French Fling Bar Crawl in Fairmount

Embark on a French-themed bar crawl as the French Fling returns to Fairmount in anticipation of this weekend’s Bastille Day Festival. From there, bars like London Grill, Bishop’s Collar, The Belgian Cafe and Brown Street Pub will be serving $3 Kronenbourg and Blanc drafts.

This year, the Dell Music Center in Fairmount Park launches the 2015 Essence of Entertainment Summer Concert Series with an all-star Philadelphia lineup that includes saxophone phenom Pamela Williams, touring trombonist Jeff Bradshaw and the original R&B/soul diva, Patti LaBelle. Together, these notable talents will create an unforgettable evening of live music under the Philadelphia summer sky. Tonight’s show is rain or shine and will start at 7 p.m.
