Through Friday, October 16, a number of Garces Group restaurants — Amada, Tinto, Distrito, Garces Trading Company and The Olde Bar — will offer a $39 menu that comes complete with a glass of sangria or punch. Participating restaurants will even be giving away special gifts (think gift certificates, wine pairings and dinners) to diners.
On Sunday, October 18, the grand-finale event hits Old City — a paella-themed street festival on 2nd Street between Market and Chestnut streets. The festival will run from noon to 6 p.m. and will fill the street with a paella cook off, live flamenco performances, a photo booth, face painting, activities for kids, three bars and a hot toddy station.
Chef Jose Garces’ local restaurants will be plating varied types of paella for the block party — lamb paella from Amada, crab paella from The Olde Bar, Asian paella from Volver, local vegetable paella from JG Domestic, mole poblano and duck paella from Distrito, shellfish paella from Tinto, coq au vin paella from Garces Trading Company and traditional paella from Garces Catering.
$10 gets you paella tastings at the festival and two drink tickets. Admission for children under 12 is free. Click here to purchase your ticket to the festival.
For those who are still hungry after all of the paella, Amada will host a ticketed VIP party featuring food and drinks from 11 alumni chefs, including Kevin Sbraga.
Happy Birthday, Amada!
