The annual Bloktoberfest fills South Street West with 20+ food trucks, dozens of craft beer options, live music and tons of entertainment.

40+ Beer and Food Options

In true Philly festival spirit, 20-plus food trucks are ready to serve up eats all afternoon and into the evening during Bloktoberfest, and, as with any true Oktoberfest celebration, there will be plenty of beer to wash it all down.

The Food

Look forward to sushi burritos from Hai Street Kitchen & Co., beer-cheese drenched tots and other gourmet tot options from the The Tot Cart, burritos and empanadas from Taco Mando, fancy handmade meatballs from Mama’s Meatballs and a slew of other diverse food truck options.

Plus, look for South Street West spots including The Cambridge, Jet Wine Bar, Rex 1516, Little Spoon Cafe and Tio Flores.

The Beer

Six designated “beer zones” will be stationed throughout the festival offering brews ranging from some of the first pumpkin beers of the season (think Ballast Point’s Scottish ale with pumpkin) to fruit-forward and tart treats (apricot chili ale anyone?) to interesting darker ales (like DuClaw’s chocolate peanut butter porter) to ciders and other gluten-free options.

Breweries represented include Ballast PointBoulder Beer, DuClaw, Half AcreLakefront BreweryPizza Boy, Sprecher, Starcut Ciders and Wiseacre.

Beer bracelets or tickets are required for those who are looking for brews. (Read on for more details.)

Be sure to bring your appetite and get ready to relax with a beer as you nosh!

Drink Tickets and Beer Bracelets

For those looking to score craft brews at Bloktoberfest, beer bracelets are required. Purchase one for $15 in advance or $20 at the door to obtain three drink tickets per bracelet. A “bonus beer bracelet” can be purchased for $25 in advance and $30 at the door to secure two extra drink tickets (five vs. three).

After acquiring a beer bracelet, if you use up all of your tickets but still want to sample other sudsy pints, additional drink tickets will be available for $5 each at the festival.

All beer bracelets can be picked up at the World Charter Lot between Broad and 15th streets.

Other delightful news: Proceeds from beer sales go to charity, which you can read more about here.

Live Music

Throughout the festival, a range of local musicians will perform at the nine-hour festival. You can groove to music from the funky and instrument-filled Swift Technique, the four-piece rock ‘n’ rollers Needlefish, the reggae-inspired Tall Trees and more.

A total of seven bands will take to the stage beginning at 12:30 p.m. and going until 9 p.m.
