One of the most beautiful holiday displays in the area is perhaps at Longwood Gardens, which hosts its annual A Longwood Christmas display for another year of twinkling lights — more than 500,000! — holiday music, dazzling fountain shows, seasonal plants and so much more.
Inspired by the sounds of the holidays, the music-inspired display features organ sing-a-longs, carolers throughout the gardens, fountain shows choreographed to holiday music and more. The music is accompanied by a display of more than 50 bedecked Christmas trees — including a 30-foot tree made of poinsettias — and more than 6,000 seasonal plants.
Plus, this year Longwood displays three fire pits to warm its nightly explorers. The fire pits are located at the Hour Glass Lake Pavilion, Peirce-du Pont House Plaza and Dogwood Plaza. They’ll be available every night, weather permitting.
