Tonight Picks: Beaujolais Nouveau Celebrations, Fairmount Food Fight, Latin Roots Live And More

Enjoy the evening with happy hour, food festivals, music and more...

Today marks Beaujolais Nouveau Day, a worldwide celebration of Beaujolais Nouveau — a French wine made from Gamay grapes produced in the Beaujolais region that is released for sale after being fermented for just six to eight weeks. All three Tria Cafe locations and South Philadelphia Tap Room are celebrating the holiday with deals on glasses of the light-bodied wines as well as specials on food.

In Fairmount, the neighborhood’s Fairmount Food Fight returns with food and drink samples from some of the neighborhood’s most popular restaurants. Plus, proceeds benefit the Fairmount CDC.
