Come one, come all!
This month, one of the most interactive circuses in the world sets up shop in Philadelphia’s Fairmount Park. Make plans to check out UniverSoul Circus as it celebrates the 20th anniversary of coming to Philly and makes its final 2016 tour stop.
The UniverSoul Circus is known for its always-impressive performances that range from a contortions act and aerial act to a clown performance (with audience participation!) and a hand-balancing act. Other highlights? An airborne motorcycle show, acrobats, dancing elephants, a dog show and more.
The performances celebrate cultures from across the globe by bringing special performances and performers to the stage — look forward to performances inspired by traditions in Chile, Ethiopia, China, Cuba and more.
Beyond performances, the circus promises plenty of classic circus fare for purchase — think cotton candy, popcorn, soda and more.
The circus continues in Fairmount Park through November 27 with more than 30 upcoming shows. Tickets, $19-$30, are required for entry to the circus and are available online.
All performances take place under the big top, which will be located next to the Mann Center for the Performing Arts at 52nd Street and Parkside Avenue.
