Weekend Picks: Final Days For Major Exhibitions, First Friday, Three Kings Day Events And More

How to spend this winter weekend in Philly...

With a little bit of snow on the ground, this weekend is already off to a cozy — and wintry — start. Hot chocolate at RiverRink Winterfest, anyone?

The workweek ends with First Friday events throughout the city in Old City, Fishtown, Logan Square and Center City. Enjoy exhibition openings at cool galleries, a dance party at the Barnes Foundation, a local artist showcase at a Kensington comic shop and more.

This weekend, two popular museums end their marquee exhibitions — the African American Museum closes i found god in myself and the Philadelphia Museum of Art closes Paint the Revolution: Mexican Modernism, 1910–1950. The chilly weather forecast makes for a perfect excuse to hang inside at one of these closing-soon exhibitions.

Be sure to follow Uwishunu on Instagram and Twitter for updates throughout the weekend.
