Major news alert: Hamilton: An American Musical is coming to Philadelphia!

The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts just announced that Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Broadway smash will hit the stage in the City of Brotherly Love during Broadway Philadelphia’s 2018/2019 season — yup, not until next year.

Show dates and ticket prices have yet to be announced for next year’s tour, but we can be sure that the most-award-winning Broadway show in recent history will sell out in Philadelphia, the city where Founding Father Alexander Hamilton — freedom fighter, statesman, financial genius and adulterer — helped make history.

Before Hamilton arrives in Philadelphia next year, though, a whole season of fantastic Broadway shows will keep theater fans entertained. The 2017/18 season of Broadway Philadelphia includes a dozen touring productions, including seven Philadelphia premieres like Finding Neverland, Something Rotten!, School of Rock and Disney’s Aladdin.
